Karen Wheelwright is a Biomedical Coach and Dietary Consultant to parents of children with behavioural problems and learning difficulties. She is also the mother of three beautiful children, the youngest of whom was diagnosed with Autism two and a half years ago.

On receiving this news, Karen combined her training as a Mental Retardation Nurse, her university studies in biochemistry, and twenty years of dietary research into solving her own gut problems, towards "recovering" her son. She knows from first-hand experience what can be achieved and is passionate about helping other parents do the same.

In her consultancy role, Karen advises on which diets bring the most improvement in the different gut and behavioural problems children experience. She also runs an Internet diet support group for parents of children with autism spectrum disorders, behavioural problems and learning difficulties.

She is a recognised speaker at National Conferences dealing with children's gut problems and a popular presenter on the role of diet at many local support groups.
